Job Summary

 

Responsible for preparing workpapers to complete the US Federal and state tax reporting and compliance, as well as assisting with the quarterly and year-end provision, provision to return adjustments, maintenance of the US tax related balance sheet accounts and US fixed assets. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

  • Preparation of estimated tax payments and extensions, including all required forms/vouchers using tax software.
  • Preparation of state corporate income tax apportionment workpapers. 
  • Preparation of federal and state workpapers and corresponding tax return using Onesource
  • Preparation of state corporate income tax credits and certification filings. 
  • Prepare forecasts of significant permanent items and deferred tax adjustments for monthly ETR calculations and quarterly tax provisions.
  • Assist in the preparation of the year-end provision and Onesource input for US entities and the review of US Federal and State provision to return adjustments.
  • Assist with corporate income tax audits. 
  • Research and respond to inquiries and notices from state and local taxing authorities, vendors, customers, and company personnel.
  • Monitor corporate income tax developments, including state corporate income tax rates, apportionment methodologies, filing group requirements, and state modification changes. Remain current on tax law changes and changes in the business activities of the company
  • Proactively manage and maintain provision and compliance deadlines
  • Prepare and review book-tax difference computations and tie-out of deferred tax assets/liabilities
  • Assist with maintaining tax depreciation using SAGE software
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. 
  • Two to four years directly related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certificate/Licensure: CPA or CPA eligibility is preferred.
  • Strong, communication, project management and organization skills required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of tax software (Onesource) is a plus.
