Charles River is offering a new position of Senior Director of Compensation and Benefits Europe.
Directly reporting to the CVP Total Rewards based in the USA, the Senior Director of Compensation and Benefits will collaborate with the Global Total Rewards team to ensure a consistent philosophy and approach, while ensuring that European requirements are integrated and considered in the Global designs.
This role will also work closely with the senior leaders and site HR Leaders to understand local compensation and benefits programs and assist with the deployment of the Compensation and Benefits design across the businesses in Europe.

Your missions:
- Liaise with key stakeholders in Europe to implement C&B programs, policies, processes, and projects throughout Europe in line with the Company’s Global Total Rewards and overall HR strategies.
- Builds strong relations and partners with the European Site Business and HR teams, while acting as the link between Europe and Corporate/Global Total Rewards.
- Research, understand, and communicate local market trends and legislative requirements around Compensation and Benefits in the countries where we operate.
- Supports the Global Total Rewards team with benchmarking activities to ensure that local salary ranges in Europe are sound and supported by market data.
- Work with the site HR teams to understand Works Council/labor relations requirements and provide support and/or take part in negotiations as needed.
- Proactively identify, and champion opportunities to optimize existing benefits or compensation programs.
- Work with relevant leadership and Product Owners to ensure that governance processes are in place and reprioritize demand as business conditions change.
- Provide a clear articulation of direction, expectations, and status as it relates to Compensation and Benefits strategies, priorities, and projects to the HR teams in Europe.
- Work with the Business Development team to ensure that M&A and Partnership activities are appropriately planned for and successfully executed, where appropriate.
- Work with Europe Finance and HR leaders to ensure that they are thoughtfully developing compensation and benefits budgets/plans with consideration for Market investments and that financial commitments are met.
Profile:
- You have a master’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations, Finance, business administration or related field/work experience and you are able to justify of an experience of 10+ years in Comp/Benefits
- Able to demonstarte success leading in a complex matrix environment
- Strong business acumen with understanding of finance, budgeting, forecasting, and business management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and to deliver effective presentations.
- Experience in identifying and applying innovative ideas to business problems and thinking through executional requirements to successfully adopt them.

- Remote position with ability to travel our sites across EUR.
- Base Salary + 20% Bonus + Equity shares + Other benefits according to the site and the location.
