Job Summary
We are seeking a Section Head of Regulatory Ecotoxicology and Chemistry for our Safety Assessment site located in Den Bosch.
As Section Head of Regulatory Ecotoxicology and Chemistry within the Regulatory Affairs department of CRL Den Bosch (NL), you will be supervising a team of regulatory chemists, ecotoxicologists, environmental fate and efficacy specialists whose daily job involves providing regulatory consultancy and dossier preparation for our clients. Legislative frameworks covered by the section include agrochemicals, biocides, industrial chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
Your responsibilities include:
• Day to day management of your team (currently 11 direct reports), including enabling staff to develop in their area of expertise
• Being a member of the department’s management team, working closely with the head of the department and another section head, providing scientific and strategic input
• Participate and manage regulatory affairs projects in (one of) the legislative frameworks mentioned above;
• Strengthen and further develop our Regulatory Consultancy services in collaboration with our business development group;
• The successful collaboration with both new and existing global clients;
• Be the central point of contact of your team of experts for other departments within Charles River;
• Represent Charles River towards clients and at (international) meetings and conferences;
• Drive quality throughout the department at all levels;
• You will report to the Head of Regulatory Affairs.
Your Profile:
• Relevant academic training, focusing on life and/or environmental sciences;
• At least 5 years Regulatory Affairs experience in at least one of the relevant legislative frameworks (agrochemicals, biocides, industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals);
• Experience in supervising and managing a (Regulatory Affairs) team;
• Inspiring and enthusiastic leader and an excellent coach;
• Good communicative skills, both oral and written, in Dutch and English;
• A team player with a pro-active, result oriented, enthusiastic, flexible and critical attitude;
• Commercial mindset with respect for science.
