Job Summary

We are seeking a very strong Sr. Digital Experience Senior Specialist – Google Ads,  This remote position will work within our Global Technology Department.  

 

BASIC SUMMARY: 
Responsible for managing Charles River’s Google Ads accounts for seven business lines and corporate brand. Proactively develop, deliver, and implement strategies for Google Ads optimization to meet business and website goals given each business’ budgetary requirements. Identify problem keywords and other problem areas to improve cost savings and enhance targeting. Use analytics tools to regularly communicate performance, identify trends, and drive decision-making. Act as a partner and consultant to marketing team stakeholders on Google Ads best practices and strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pull monthly Google Ads performance reports to make proactive recommendations for improvement.
  • Meet regularly and follow up with team members for Google Ads recommendations, approvals, and updates on outstanding tasks.  
  • Perform weekly maintenance of the account, including negative keyword refinement, bid changes, ad disapprovals, and problem keyword identification.
  • Partner with SEO specialists for keyword recommendations.
  • Set up new campaigns when requested according to best practices and in alignment with existing strategy.
  • In the case of an acquisition, lead the integration of acquisition ads into the existing account.
  • Educate team members on Google Ads best practices, including adherence to internal Google Ads workflows. 

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in communications, marketing, advertising, or related discipline. 
  • Experience: 5+ years of directly related Google Ads experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above. 
  • Experience managing and setting up Google search, display, shopping, and video ads.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with core stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Proficiency with Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, SEMRush or similar SEO tools, and Microsoft Office products.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the Life Sciences industry.
